Welcome to Claire Rathbun Floral, and our first blog post. I’m thrilled that you are here, and thank you for taking the time to read this. This, and probably most of anything I write will be short and sweet, as I’m all about efficiency!
Claire Rathbun Floral is a boutique floral design studio specializing in high-end bespoke florals for events, and home & office installations. I have always loved (and needed) to make things with my hands. When I was a little girl, my mom taught me to needlepoint… I loved to draw and “color” with crayons, etc. As an adult…I struggled to find something creative to do with my hands (the ‘needle arts’ were not for me, and I’m not a great cook!). I tried fiber arts, using yarn and driftwood to make wall-hangings. Several years ago, I tried arranging flowers after being inspired from a video I had seen – it was then that I knew flowers were to be my medium! At first, I simply created things for family and friends, and my business has evolved from there.
One way that Claire Rathbun Floral is different from other florists is that we do not offer full-service wedding flowers. However, we do have a la carte wedding items available on our website...a carefully curated menu of items ranging from bouquets and boutonnieres to ceremony arrangements, as well as centerpieces for your reception. Our purpose is to honor and glorify God through our work, and to spread joy through flowers. 10% of our profits are donated to benefit the homeless students of the Dallas Independent School District. More on that in a future blog post, but you can read a little bit about it here.
